Antiaging And Cellulite Solutions

Unfortunately, when talking about antiaging and fighting cellulite, at the moment there isn’t a magic solution for removal of these dimples and lumps on the body. It may be some time before it is found. Although some companies claim that they have creams that are effective, it appears to be better at hiding the effects.

The cellulite areas are normally from the waist down. This is not a situation purely confined to those who carry excess weight. The lumpy substance that looks more like cottage cheese beneath the skin can affect slim, even sporting women as well. So antiaging solutions - where are you!

Cellulite forms just below the surface of the skin in the thighs and buttocks region, where areas of fat collect and force themselves against the tissue creating a puckered look to the surface of the skin.

In reality, nobody knows the real reason why some people accumulate these fats and not others, but there are some factors that health experts are considering such as the structure of the fat cells or toxins that enter the body. So will knowing this - help find solutions for the antiaging problem of cellulite?

One thing is for certain though, and that is that this problem increases with age which is partly due to the reduction of collagen and elastin in the system which is why we tend to have more lines as we get older.

The condition is almost exclusive to women and has been attributed to hormonal changes that take place as a woman gets older as the fat in the thighs and buttocks of men is the same as fat found in other parts of their bodies.

Often the cellulite goes unnoticed and it is only when a person’s muscles are compressed or the skin is pinched that it can be seen and felt, most women suffer with it to a greater or lesser degree. After a great deal of research, certain conditions do help with the formation and retention of the fat cells which are the age of the person, their gender, how thick their skin is and the amount of extra fat they carry, all play a part.

One thing for sure is that technology has not as yet devised antiaging miracle potion or antiaging treatment that can eradicate it completely.

Massage has been found to help hide the indications of cellulite even though it cannot remove it; but is does reduce it’s visibility for a temporary period and is available from some beauty clinics.

Perhaps the most drastic therapy is liposuction where fat is literally sucked from the body or the more expensive procedure of injecting certain chemicals in a process called mesotherapy. The problem with liposuction is not really the correct therapy for removing this type of fat but is for deeper fats, not those stuck in connective tissue, so it cannot claim to be a best antiaging treatment for cellulite.

While the creams that claim to burn the fat deposits away may not be very successful, the latest generation is designed to hide the condition although once again this is a short term answer to the antiaging treatment for cellulite.

The most successful cellulite antiaging regimes so far are to adopt regular exercise, a good nutritious low-fat diet plan and reduce extra weight where possible. Water too is useful as it has the effect of flushing out toxins that accumulate and are thought to be partly responsible for the cellulite. In addition to this smokers are urged to quit or reduce their smoking which is an effective way for toxins to enter the body.

So, let’s hope they can find a product that will fight the antiaging problem of cellulite soon.

Antiaging - What about Collagen

Antiaging skin care products are very popular today; it is only natural that as people get older they want to continue looking young so will use products that help them achieve this. This is achieved in beauty products by promoting the growth of connective tissue using the protein collagen which is the most abundant in the skin of all animals; with around a quarter of our skin protein being collagen, the importance of this substance has not gone unnoticed. Collagen is a member of another family of substances that aid in reducing the signs of aging. this group is called antioxidants which are natural chemicals found in many foods and our body.

You probably know many anti-oxidants by name, including vitamin C, the use of which is still, even now, hotly debated in the science and nutrition community. The main problem when using any skin care treatments which use vitamin C is that oxidization can occur as soon as they have contact with the air.

More stable skin care treatments are now available that are almost as efficient and actually cost less to manufacture. Although these products are good, they cannot actually compare with vitamin C but fortunately vitamin E and alpha-lipoic acid are also anti-oxidants so can be used to gain the same effect.

Found in human blood, vitamin E is not only an antioxidant but is designed to boost the immune system’s resistance to illness; there is some evidence to show it helps prevent diseases including cancer. On the other hand, lipoic acid or alpha-lipoic acid is necessary for energy production which keeps us alive; it can also help reduce the aging process which affects the skin.

The use of plants has not been overlooked either with many types able to provide essences called phytochemicals which have proved successful in antiaging skin care products. Phytochemicals prevent occurrence of certain types of cancer; for example:

  • Cancer that attacks the Prostate
  • Cancer that attacks the Breast
  • Colon Cancer

These types of cancer are also becoming some of the most prevalent worldwide.

Some B-vitamins like B5, B6 and B12 are also in use for antiaging skin care products. The use of antiaging skin care products is a huge scientific field to research and has far greater potential than just producing goods that reduce the visible signs of age. Although current regimes are quite effective, there are many ways to combat the effects of time; each year, more is learned about this topic so reducing the effects of age on the body is just a matter of time.

In time it is hoped that less expensive and more reliable antiaging skin care products will become available for a larger number of people to use. However, man-made skin care regimes should be used only as a supplement; man-made products may never replace those that are available naturally! Regular sleep patterns, exercise, a good healthy diet and less stress will all contribute to reducing the signs of aging, for instance!
